Windham Textile
& History Museum
is looking for all knitters! Drop by Sept. 29 & 30th
from noon to 6:00 pm to participate in their ‘Knit
A Memory’ program. Bring needles & yarn to knit
scarves, mittens, socks, etc. for soldiers and veterans.

for old ‘Red Cross’ knitting patterns for temporary
display. Contact Brooke at the Museum (456-2178) or myself
if you have one to share.
Volunteer to
Knit (V2K) projects
continue with warm clothing for local needy families, chemo
caps for all ages, and blankets for children with cancer.
Knit at home and drop off your project or join us for one
of our V2K knit together sessions.
This year the Knitting
Nook will be fund-raising for Juvenile
Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) by ‘selling’
sneakers. Your help is greatly appreciated; many children
and adults suffer from this disease that has no cure. Prefer
to help by joining our team or making a donation online?

and click on ‘JDRF Walks’ in East Hartford,
CT and look for my name. or ‘Jess-Kess Crusaders’
team.
