Get your creative juices flowing. The Knitting Nook is excited to announce our first contest! We are looking for a ‘Knitters Tool Belt’! To be eligible for the contest, the design must be your own. No restrictions on use of materials, whatever your heart desires. (Could this be yet another use for duct tape?) Judging will be in two categories - adult and youth, and will be based on style, efficacy and originality. All submissions must be received at The Knitting Nook (TKN) by Saturday, March 24, 2007. Winners will be announced at the April 2007 Fashion Show.

You heard it right – there is going to be a first annual TKN Fashion Show! This will not be your ordinary fashion show. Not only will every penny be donated to ‘The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’ (www.jdrf.org), but every article modeled at the event will be made with yarn from The Knitting Nook. Your participation is greatly needed. Start now to knit or crochet an item(s) to be modeled using our yarn selection or donated for the silent auction with yarn of your choice. The pinnacle of the event will be the announcement of the winners of the ‘soon to be famous’ Knitters Tool Belt contest.
